Well… We did it. We cast cats, attacked with cats, and even won with cats. This deck was a ton of fun to play.
The biggest issue I saw was the deck just can’t be aggressive with a top end of Regal Caracal. There are too many other decks in the format doing what we were trying to do but in a better more efficient way. This is the main reason the weaker cards need to go. I still believe the top end of the deck can be strong in the modern format but just not in this shell.
I am really curious to see a more midrange take of the deck so it’s easier to utilize Regal Caracal and Brimaz. I am thinking about brewing up Abzan Cats next! The red was good for Bolt, Helix, and Ajani as well as needed for Wild Nacatal but I am thinking of revamping the deck and taking a new approach. Black would give us decent removal and we could still play a lot of the feature cards.
This won’t be the last time you will see me cating around!
