Welcome to another Modern Monday!
Apologies for the delay today, but seeing as you could find me at Grand Prix DC this past weekend and our flight home was this morning, I was a little exhausted this afternoon after having woken up at 2 am PST to catch a flight. Needless to say we’d be dead without a nap in between.

There are a lot of Modern decks going around that include Goryo’s Vengeance and some broken combo, such as reanimating Griselbrand and casting things like Nourishing Shoal. This deck is a little different however. We don’t have any Griselbrands, but we do have three Obzedat, Ghost Councils that, when reanimated, will exile themselves and come back at the beginning of the next turn. These can also be protected with Restoration Angel once we untap. But that’s not all! Restoration Angel also happen to be a key combo piece if we choose to reanimate a Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, allowing us to win on the spot.
