Welcome back! Last time I said we’d play a deck that’s a bit closer to my wheelhouse, so here is probably one of the best decks to climb for Ranked: Skycrag Rally! This list comes courtesy of NumotGaming in this article by Ben Chapman where he credits Konan for creating the deck.

2 Snowcrust Yeti (Set2 #105)
4 Torch (Set1 #8)
4 Champion of Fury (Set2 #187)

4 Vadius, Clan Father (Set2 #191)
7 Fire Sigil (Set1 #1)
4 Primal Sigil (Set1 #187)

4 Seat of Fury (Set0 #53)
4 Skycrag Banner (Set2 #186)
4 Diplomatic Seal (Set1 #425)

As you can see, the deck is very aggressive. Ideally you want to curve out on your opponent and get under whatever they’re trying to do. Some units can give us headaches like Sandstorm Titan or Combrei Healer, and the deck can fall flat if people are packing Lightning Storms. In any case, I took the deck out in Masters for 6 games to give y’all an idea of how it goes!

So as you saw we went 4-3 with the deck with some unfortunate draws at times. Plus playing against SirRhino’s Means to an End deck three times was interesting. Also the Praxis Warp deck we saw Game 1 looked fun. Anyways this video showed both the good and the bad of Skycrag Rally. The Good: You can get under slower decks and deal lethal pretty quickly & unlike my last article this deck only has Vadius as Legendaries. You can easily modify this for replacements for Vadius.. The Bad: You can have a slower hand and your opponents will start playing bigger & better things. All in all I would still recommend this deck for anyone looking to climb the Ladder because you can get a bunch of games in real quick.
