Hello! and Welcome to another Dave’s Deranged Decks! We are going to kick off the new year with a personal favorite… Jund! Jund and I go way back to the very beginning of modern and it’s a deck that I never quite let go. No matter how many decks I explore in Modern I always make way way back to Jund at some point. I love a good midrange deck and this one is by far one of the best to date. Jund over the years has fallen in and out of favor but always seems to have legs in the format no matter how much it evolves. The deck has a wide variety of sideboard options to adjust to the meta and rewards tight play and knowledge of the format.
This is the current list I will be playing but my extended Jund list cards has hundreds of options to toy around with. Lets see how we do with this current 75!
Fun ride! As Jund always is. I think we should have been 3-0 at this point. We got a bit unlucky in our match against Boggles but could have definitely played game two better. As far as Jeskai goes I certainly feel like it should be a good matchup for us. It seems our deck was having trouble drawing the right side of itself against the various matches. That’s something that can happen with these midrange decks. Funny enough our one win was against Eldrazi Tron which is a pretty bad matchup that we got very lucky against. It just happen to be the end of our luck for this run.
As always, If you want to see more of the deck come hang out on stream with me at twitch.tv/dcmdame and mention this article and I will gladly showcase it for you! Any comments or suggestions drop them here or on Twitch and I will happily get back to you. Thank you for checking out my videos! Remember it’s you, the fans, which make it all worth it!
